HISTORY OF E.I.C.D.C

E. I. ENGINEERING is the predecessor of what is now known as E. I. CONSTRUCTION AND DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION. E. I. ENGINEERING was a small proprietary service outfit formed in 1978 catering mainly in general repair and residential subdivisions in Makati, Metro Manila. After Twenty Five (25) Years in the business and after having acquired technical expertise in road repair and general construction works, the succeeding general management team of E. I. Engineering reorganized and incorporated the same as E. I. CONSTRUCTION AND DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION. Thereafter, the company was formally registered with the Securities & Exchange Commission and was issued its certificate of Registration No. 126290 on May 2, 1985.

EICDC applied with the SEC for Php 3.2 Million authorized capital stock and started its operation on a Php200, 000.00 paid-in capitalization. The company now has an authorized and paid-up capital of Php 90 Million.

In 1985 likewise, EICDC applied for accreditation with the Philippine Contractor’s Accreditation Board and was promptly issued a Category “C” Contractor’s License for General Engineering. Its credential and experience gathered for more than two decades of operation qualified EICDC to be upgraded to category “A” PCAB classification. And finally, in its continuing excellent performance in the construction industry, it has been upgraded to “AAA” classification on November 15, 2012.

Proof of clientele satisfaction is borne by the fact that it has maintained a steady client base, particularly Manila Water Co. Inc., Maynilad Water Services, Inc., Makati Development Corporation and Makati Commercial Estate Association Inc., their subsidiaries and string of referrals.

EICDC, envisions itself to be among the leaders in the construction industry as the company strives to keep pace with large and medium sized construction and development entities. EICDC likewise, envisions to become a by-word in the construction industry as synonymous to client satisfaction.

ORGANIZATIONAL PROFILE

At the helm of EICDC’s successful growth is it’s Chairman & President, Wilfredo P. Ignacio. This young executive has exploited marketing talents to the hilt in generating construction contracts for the company and which contracts are ably implemented by the battery of highly competent Technical Personnel.

EICDC does not solely rely on individualistic talents, rather on the effective cooperation among its officers and employees in hurdling day to day operational demands.
